R-sensors have launched production of sensing modules for the third party seismic systems. 

The three component sensing modules designed for installation into an external protective case can be based on a broadband seismometer CME-4211 or on a high-sensitive geophone MTSS-2003. 

These modules provide a cost-effective solution for customized digital seismic stations and can be used with most analog-to-digital converters. The circuitry enables self-calibration by means of an external DAC for MTSS-2003 or self-testing for CME-4211. The parameters of the modules are similar to those of conventional sensors. The sensing modules based on a seismic accelerometer MTSS-1043A are also available.

This article is a complete description of the state-of-the-art in the electrochemical motion sensors. It covers all related aspects - electrochemical basics, mechanical features of different types of sensors, signal amplification and introducing a force balance feedback into the system. The work also includes an overview and comparison tables of modern commercial seismometers, compact seismic sensors - both accelerometers and geophones - along with a unique family of rotational electrochemical sensors.

The tests of a renewed compact-size sensing element for the MTSS-1033A accelerometer were finished. 

The newly designed sensing element has a smaller size, a higher frequency cut-off and a wider dynamic range. The redesigned MTSS-1033A accelerometer was also successfully tested and is currently ready for manufacturing.

The newly designed version of СМЕ-6111 force feedback seismometer has been introduced. 

Among the advantages to say but two are wide input voltage range (9-36 V DC, isolated) as well as the operability from low voltage power source (single +5 V DC or dual ±5 V DC non-isolated).

'Sensors — Open Access Journal' published an article titled 'A Low-Noise DC Seismic Accelerometer Based on a Combination of MET/MEMS Sensors' dated December 26, 2014.

The article covers a possible approach to the construction of a hybrid seismic accelerometer combining the superb performance of a MET sensor in the middle and high frequency range with a conventional on chip MEMS accelerometer covering the lower frequencies and gravity. Apart from R-sensors, our colleagues from Center for Molecular Electronics and NordLab LLC contributed to this article. The described principles give the basis for a construction of a new commercial DC seismic accelerometer.

The tests of a redesigned CME/Baykal seismic station consisting of the CME-4311/CME-6011 seismometer and the Baykal-8 seismic recorder were successfully finished.

The CME-4011 & CME-4111 seismometer models, also known as the first sensors based on the MET technology, have been manufactured by R-sensors since the foundation of our company. From this time on, the structural design was optimized and revised for several times. By now we have acquired a considerable experience of using these models especially under severe field conditions. The newly designed seismometers named CME-4211 and CME-4311 are thoroughly redesigned versions of CME-4011 & CME-4111 respectively. During 2012, both families were manufactured at the same time and since 2013 new models will replace the old ones entirely. Along with improving durability, changes were made to vertical channel and output filters. 

The new CME-4211 and CME-4311 families feature drastically more stable newly designed vertical transducer with force feedback. Output filters have the 2-nd order low-frequency slope lowering the DC drift and shortening settling time after power on. Besides, the input power supply range was extended to 10.5 - 30 V DC. The case design and output connectors remain as in the previous models. The renewed low-power versions are also available.

The engineering department of R-sensors developed a new broadband СМЕ-6011 seismometer. This instrument passed comprehensive testing studies and will soon be ready for serial production. 

The seismometer extends the product line of high sensitive broadband force-feedback seismometers started by CME-6211 but a new one is of a lighter weight and more suitable for field conditions. The amplification stages and power supply circuitry were significantly modified that resulted in improving overall characteristics of the seismometer.
