A new prototype of a security system based on compact molecular-electronic seismic sensors has been developed. The system successfully passed field tests in detecting steps of a walker. 

The prototype detects a moving person from a 50-100 meter distance (depending on the type of the soil) as well as locates the direction towards a moving person with high precision. The system offers a cost-effective solution for the area security applications.

Institute of Navigation (US) published the article of "Small, Low-Power, Low-Cost sensors for Personal Navigation and Stabilization Systems". The article describes the current progress in development of molecular-electronic sensors and their possible applications in navigation. The rotational type of sensors was mentioned as well.

The phys.org website published an article of 'Tablet-Size Seismometer' about the founder of The Center for Molecular Electronics Dr. V.A. Kozlov and the prospects of brand-new molecular-electronic seismic sensors.
